Onboarding Data from Google Spanner

Creating an Google Spanner Source

For creating a Google Spanner source, see Configuring Additional Connectors. Ensure that the Source Type selected is Google Spanner.

To enable OAuth, see Enabling OAuth for CDATA Drivers.

Embedded OAuth Parameter Settings

You can connect to the CDATA driver without setting any connection properties for your user credentials.

Set the following embedded OAuth parameters:

InstanceIdSet this to the Id of the instance you want to connect to.
DatabaseSet this to the name of the database you want to connect to.
ProjectId:Set this to the Id of the project you want to connect to.
OAuthSettingsLocationSaves the authentication values to be persisted across connections. The user must register an init script on the jobs cluster to propagate the OAuthSettingsLocation file across all the worker nodes.

Custom OAuth Parameter Settings

Set the following parameters to authenticate with the credentials for a Custom OAuth app:

OAuthClientIdSet this to the client Id assigned when you registered your app.
OAuthClientSecretSet this to the client secret assigned when you registered your app.

Google Spanner Configurations

FieldDescription
Fetch Data UsingThe mechanism through which Infoworks fetches data from the database.
Connection URLThe connection URL through which Infoworks connects to the database.
UsernameThe username for the connection to the database.
PasswordThe password for the username provided.
Source SchemaThe schema in the database to be crawled. The schema value is case sensitive.

Once the settings are saved, you can test the connection.
