Onboarding Data from Basecamp

Creating a Basecamp Source

For creating a Basecamp source, see Configuring Additional Connectors. Ensure that the Source Type selected is Basecamp.

To enable OAuth, see Enabling OAuth for CDATA Drivers.

Embedded OAuth Parameter Settings

You can connect to the CDATA driver without setting any connection properties for your user credentials.

Set the following embedded OAuth parameters:

AccountIdCopy this from the URL after you log into Basecamp.<br>https://basecamp.com/
SchemaSet this to "V2" or "V3" to connect to Basecamp 2 or Basecamp 3 accounts.
ProjectIdFor most table operations, a ProjectId is a required parameter. You can query the Projects table to obtain this value.

Custom OAuth Parameter Settings

Set the following parameters to authenticate with the credentials for a Custom OAuth app:

OAuthClientIdSet this to the client Id assigned when you registered your app.
OAuthClientSecretSet this to the client secret assigned when you registered your app.
CallbackURLSet this to the redirect URI defined when you registered your app.

Basecamp Configurations

FieldDescription
Fetch Data UsingThe mechanism through which Infoworks fetches data from the database.
Connection URLThe connection URL through which Infoworks connects to the database.
UsernameThe username for the connection to the database.
PasswordThe password for the username provided.
Source SchemaThe schema in the database to be crawled. The schema value is case sensitive.

Once the settings are saved, you can test the connection.
