Administration Tasks

Few admin operations must be performed before starting the ingestion process. You must login to Infoworks with the Admin credentials and perform the following:

• Creating the Source

• Creating the Domain

• Adding the Source to the Domain

Creating the Source

• Click the Admin menu.

• Click the Sources icon and click the New Source button.

• In the Create New Source page, enter the source details and click Save.

Sample Values

• Source Name: Getting_Started_Source

• Source Type: Structured Files (CSV)

• Target Schema: getting_started_source

• Target Location: /iw/sources/getting_started_source

Creating the Domain

• Click the Admin menu.

• Click the Domains icon and click the New Domain button.

• In the Create New Source page, enter the source details and click Save.

Sample Values

• Name: Getting_Started_Domain

Adding the Source to the Domain

• Click the Admin menu.

• Click the Domains icon and click the Manage Artifacts button for the required domain.

• Click the Add Sources button, select the source and click Add Source. The source can now access the domain.
